Clean-Up & Catch-Up Services

Before we can provide accurate financial reporting or strategic guidance, your books need to be solid. If your records are behind, inconsistent, or chaotic, you’re not alone—most small businesses need some level of clean-up before we can move forward.
We specialize in cleaning up financial records, catching up months of missing entries, and rebuilding broken systems—with speed, clarity, and zero judgment.
What Counts as Clean-Up or Catch-Up Work?
You’re months behind on reconciliations
Your bank/credit card accounts haven’t been properly matched
There are duplicate, missing, or miscategorized transactions
Your Chart of Accounts is messy or misaligned with your operations
Your financial reports don’t make sense or don’t match reality
A previous bookkeeper or software has left you with a mess
You need things repaired before tax time or before applying for financing
How Far Back Do We Go?
We clean up to 12 months of prior activity. If you’re further behind than that, we’ll bring things up to date going back no more than one year. Beyond that, we recommend working with a tax specialist or forensic accountant for historical reconstruction. Our cleanup work will begin with general journal entries 12 months in the past to get things up to snuff. Then every month through the present, we will meticulously enter all entries with monthly reconciliations.
Pricing
We charge for clean-up using 5% of your historical average monthly gross revenue, based on the average revenue during the months we’re cleaning up.
Minimum Fee: $1,500
Billed Upfront or in Two Installments (Start + Midpoint)
Sample Scenario
Let’s say your business averaged $20,000/month for the past 6 months, and the books need a full clean-up going back 6 months:
$20,000 × 5% = $1000/month
$1000 × 6 months = $6,000 total clean-up fee
Once the clean-up is complete, we’ll begin regular monthly services based on your current revenue and selected service tier.

🔹 Tier 1: Basic Essentials -- Bookkeeping & Compliance
For businesses needing clean books and basic financial visibility
Services Include:
Monthly bookkeeping (QuickBooks Online)
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Categorization and classification of transactions
Receipt management and digital record keeping
Sales tax posting to QBO (client is responsible to pay the taxes)
Payroll coordination (this does not imply full payroll processing)
Chart of accounts modification as needed
And other service items as outlined in service agreement

Monthly Financial Statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Monthly recorded 1:1 meeting
Tax-ready books and audit trail
Pricing: 2% of gross monthly revenue or $500/month or whichever one is greater (limited to 100 transactions per month; price subject to change for businesses with high volume; see your service agreement for details)
Review Period: Every 6 months
🔹 Tier 2: Insight – Controller Services
For growing businesses who need help interpreting the numbers. This service helps explain what happened and why it happened.
Services Include:
Budget creation and variance analysis
